Professional Consultation

Hoarding disorder and associated behaviors are not widely understood. I serve professionals who need help with direction or getting unstuck with their clients. So often, what drives concern is the excessive accumulation of things that are causing problems in the environment. It’s important to remember that there’s a person attached to those things and how we work with that person will have great impact.

Personal Consultation

I meet you where you’re at, whether you’re dealing with your own clutter, or a loved one’s. This is a safe, nonjudgmental space where your goals will guide us. Some people want to be witnessed and understood and talk to someone who gets it, and I do. Others want assistance navigating communication and creating boundaries in the home. People decluttering receive personalized support from an evidence-based perspective. I work with you at the pace you feel is best for you. I know that the things you own are important to you and I respect that. We can talk about the emotions and history under the stuff, too, but I do not take the place of a licensed mental health professional. I’m someone who has had a complicated relationship with things, my own and others. I’ve taught around the world on this topic and I relate to the human experience on all sides of it. I am a compassionate listener and an educated, experienced guide.

Consultation fee is $100 per hour.  Family rate additional.
